Here are some suggestions, and a list of events throughout the region this week.This weekend head over to Mizfits Farm in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia to take part in the first ever Leaf Fest and Shenanigans Generator. Festival organizers please ask that you leave your canine pets at home, as this is an operating farm with live free-range animals that sometimes wander about.  LITZ, Joe Keyes and The Late Bloomers, David Via, Brokedown Hustlers, 18 Strings, Get Off My Grass, and other great bands will be layin’ down the groove all weekend long. To make your experience even more enjoyable all sorts of craftsmen and artists will be on-site giving live demonstrations.  This includes, hand-crafted string instruments, cigar-box guitars, tie-dye making, and glass blowing. All artist will create a work of art at the festival which will be auctioned off Saturday night. Proceeds will go to anti-bullying charities, which is one of the festivals main themes. Get ready for Bridge Jam 2018, a two-day music festival this Friday and Saturday held in Fayetteville, West Virginia, in conjunction with New River Gorge Bridge Day.  Grab your camping gear and set up shop at the Cascade Festival Grounds, conveniently just a mile away from the main Bridge Day festivities that will be going on in the heart of Fayetteville. Music for the weekend will be provided by Railroad Earth, Step into the Blue, Fruition, Fletcher’s Grove, Company Stores, and more. General admission tickets for the weekend are $48. Camping passes are $160, but come bundled with two general admission tickets, so organize with your friends to try to avoid paying extra. Also this weekend is the Cripple Creek Music Festival in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.  Head over to The DCCH Center for Children and Families on Saturday, October 20th for a funky good time with Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Iron Horse, Restless Leg String Band, Arlo McKinley, Andy King & Dangertown and Yugo Gypsy Trio.  The festival will feature two stages for the bands to play on, and will include food vendors, craft beverages, and lots of cool people.  This is an event that supports fair trade, sustainability, zero-waste, as well as other similar causes and seeks to help other in need.  All process will go towards Winning with ALS, a foundation started by the festival organizer Tom Miller.
