PAPADOSIO “captures the sound of the digital age” (Sensible Reason 2015) but this month they are curating a celebration of natural forces with the fifth installment of Earth Night. The two-night event kicks off on December 18th at Terminal West where Papadosio will present their rare, live improvisational PA set along with special guests Third Nature and Numatik. On Saturday December 19th, the celebration continues at the historic Tabernacle Atlanta. Performing alongside Papadosio, described as a “mad genius” by Rolling Stone Magazine, is the Grammy-nominated, funk-soul-jazz bass virtuoso Thundercat. The band will also welcome TAUK, who are “arguably the hottest instrumental prog-fusion quartet out of New York City” (Grateful Web 9/3/2015). Single and two-day tickets are on sale now via LiveNation. Full details on the two-day event can be found at www.Earth-Night.com.

Papadosio is also excited to announce their non-profit partners for Earth Night V: ATL. Similarly, Earth Night has a tradition of hosting artists of different disciplines to capture the spirit of the night. Featured Earth Night artists include Christian Jaxtheimer, Sweet Melis, Miguel Dominguez, John Gay, Annie Bennett, Chance Losher, Sumo Morgan, and Ash Shafer along with a gallery space in which original art and wares will be for sale including work from jewelry artist Nick Noyes.

In 2012, Earth Night founder & Papadosio’s visual designer Jason Takahashi, expressed his hope that “Earth Night can become a real thing- a new type of holiday/celebration for future generations that recognizes some of the living truths that are emerging at this great time in history to remind humanity of the amazing legacy of this awesome place we call Earth.” Now in its 5th year, the annual event has come to be a holiday & celebration for the future among Papadosio fans and beyond.

What Others Are Saying

“Papadosio has definitely carved out something special for themselves, and it’s a pleasure to watch their meteoric rise … If you get a chance to see one of these Earth Night shows, definitely seize the opportunity!” – L4LM 2014

“They have transformed from a band that speaks about action to one that enables true transformation through direct action. One of the workers at the ‘Share Your Cloud’ booth, Casey Papp, stated, ‘We are the ones that we have been waiting for. We are the ones who have to start making things happen.’

The scene needs more bands like Papadosio. This band has shown they are truly ready to usher in a new movement of action for the greater good. They understand what it truly means to love your neighbor.” – Compose Yourself 2014

“We never wanted Earth Night to end, but were filled with joy in having shared in such a meaningful gathering together.” – Appalachian Jamwich 2014

PAPADOSIOAnthony Thogmartin (lead vocal, guitar, production), Mike Healy (drums), Rob McConnell (bass, vocals), Billy Brouse (keys, synth, vocals) and Sam Brouse (keys, guitar, vocals)–seamlessly melds progressive rock with psychedelia; folk with electronica; and dance music with jam. The Asheville, NC-based five-piece has earned worldwide acclaim for their unpredictable setlists, entrancing improvisations and stunning visuals as a result of their extensive touring schedule and numerous high-profile festival appearances, including Wakarusa, Electric Forest, Sonic Bloom, and many more.

EXTRAS IN A MOVIE, the band’s fourth full-length studio album to be self-released, features 16 never-before-heard tracks, written, recorded and produced by the band themselves, thanks in large part to their devoted fanbase and a successfully funded Kickstarter campaign. This new highly anticipated collection follows the 2012 critically acclaimed double-album release To End The Illusion Of Separation (T.E.T.I.O.S.), which Soundfuse Magazine said, “based on the brilliance of T.E.T.I.O.S., there is truly no limit on what this band is capable of. This album is possibly the finest ‘jam-electronic’ album ever made and crowns them as the current champions of this ever-expanding genre.” (Jeremy Frazier, 10/18/12)
