Technology has been growing at an exponential rate and is constantly further integrating with human existence. The way we learn, interact, create, consume, sustain, and ultimately perceive, is a direct result of the rapid integration of technology. It affects almost every aspect of how we live our daily lives. Music is no exception. As computers become smaller, more powerful, and more affordable we have seen the way we create, record, and perform music change drastically. Technology has also changed the way music is distributed and has put the power back in the hands of the artist. We live in an exciting time where the world is changing exponentially in a way that allows one to physically witness, and take part in the electronic revolution. Futurology, or the study of the future, uses the past and present to make predictions about what is to come.

The first two tracks “Turing Test 1″ and ‘Turing Test 2” are a two-track musical nod to a test proposed by Alan Turing that determines a computer’s ability to exhibit intelligence on the level of a human being.

“Turing Test 1” blends elements of funk and DnB with psy-trance influenced synthesizers and organic guitar melodies.

“Turing Test 2” shares cohesiveness with “Turing Test 1” continuing to blend genres of funk and DnB, but leans more towards a futuristic interpretation of funk music with a psychedelic twist.

The closing track, “Moore,” gets it’s name from Moore’s Law. This is the observation that the number of transistors per square inch on integrated circuits doubles every year. “Moore” is a sonic journey that draws the listener in with the metric modulation of intricate layers of sound that is suspensefully captivating.

About the Nadis Warriors:

The rocks in the hills outside of Austin, TX  resonate with the frequencies that have become known as the Nadis Warriors. Matt Cain and Jared Ingebretson are two grade school classmates that are responsible for the vibrations that tickle the synapsis and move the body to rhythms and melodies that are both ancient and futuristic. Their emulsion of computer technologies and traditional instrumentation, like guitars, keyboards, and drums, create a musical experience that is one part electronic, one part jam, and all parts psychedelic. The heart of Nadis is this duo but they are often accompanied by world class musicians with plans to tour the U.S. with a full band in the next year.
