“The only way to fully understand the awe inspiring brilliance of this band is to experience it firsthand…

It is a potentially life changing experience.”

–Dan Scheiman, ONSTAGEREVIEW.COM 4/11/15

PAPADOSIO—a “must-see act” on the touring and festivals circuits hailed as a “tour-de-force” by THATDROP.COM (7/10/15)–has just revealed the details for Act II of their massive “Extras In A Movie” tour in support of their new album, EXTRAS IN A MOVIE, out now. Fanclub presale tickets for the tour are on sale now via with regular on-sale launching Friday, November 6 at 10am local time.

“Extras In A Movie – Act II” opens January 20 at Ritz in Raleigh, NC and then stops in Nashville, Charlotte, and Knoxville before heading to Florida for five nights from Tallahassee to Orlando, down to Tampa, Ft. Lauderdaleand back up to Jacksonville. From there, PAPADOSIO—with special guests including The Mantras, AQUEOUS, and SAQI —perform in Charleston and Chattanooga on their way to Midwestern dates in Louisville and Indianapolis. After returning to Columbia, MO for the first time in three years, the band goes on to Omaha, Jackson Hole, Bozeman, and Spokane.

Once they make it to the west coast, the band will be bringing their all-new material to Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles and San Diego, with inland stops in Eugene and Crystal Bay, NV. The massive 60+ date “Extras In A Movie” tour spends its final week in Albuquerque, Oklahoma City, and Dallas before wrapping in Houston. See below for full list of upcoming tour dates.

PAPADOSIOAnthony Thogmartin (lead vocal, guitar, production), Mike Healy (drums), Rob McConnell (bass, vocals), Billy Brouse (keys, synth, vocals) and Sam Brouse (keys, guitar, vocals)–seamlessly melds progressive rock with psychedelia; folk with electronica; and dance music with jam. The Asheville, NC-based five-piece has earned worldwide acclaim for their unpredictable setlists, entrancing improvisations and stunning visuals as a result of theirextensive touring schedule and numerous high-profile festival appearances, including Wakarusa, Electric Forest, Sonic Bloom, and many more.

Sensible Reason describes the live Papadosio experience;

Papadosio captures the sound of the digital age. The 5-piece band has developed a sound as unique and futuristic as their name by fusing a plethora of genres from progressive rock to folk, and electronic to jam. While everything the band records is intricate and beautiful, you have to see Papadosio live to truly understand the depths of their euphonic talent and improv skills.” (Jacki Moon Horne 2/4/15)

In addition, Joe from MUSICOBSESSED.COM noted,

“This band has a strong hold on bringing their sound in and out of consciousness, sometimes taking audience members with it, but their ability to provide thorough solos as well as bring songs down to an ambient state, matched with some great lighting, is a formula for an awesome live show. These aesthetics come out in nearly each of their grooves” (9/13/14).

EXTRAS IN A MOVIE, the band’s fourth full-length studio album to be self-released, features 16 never-before-heard tracks, written, recorded and produced by the band themselves, thanks in large part to their devoted fanbase and a successfully funded Kickstarter campaign. This new highly anticipated collection follows the 2012 critically acclaimed double-album release To End The Illusion Of Separation (T.E.T.I.O.S.), which Soundfuse Magazine said, “based on the brilliance of T.E.T.I.O.S., there is truly no limit on what this band is capable of. This album is possibly the finest ‘jam-electronic’ album ever made and crowns them as the current champions of this ever-expanding genre.” (Jeremy Frazier, 10/18/12)
