Today, Brooklyn-based jam project Escaper released the new single “Open Sky.” The track is Escaper’s first official studio release in almost two years and is the first offering from their upcoming studio album, Apotheosis, due on June 19th. “Open Sky” finds particular salience in the midst of our current pandemic – the contemplative, melodic tune is a necessary reminder that we should all take time to celebrate the simple beauty of human existence.

“[Apotheosis] represents change and growth for us as a band, as well as individually… On “Open Sky”, the first single from the album.. we feel a freedom of being.” – Will Hanza (Guitar, Vocals)

The single, recorded and mixed by John Davis at The Bunker Studio in Brooklyn, colorfully exhibits the refined sound of a dedicated core of musicians. “Open Sky” is the nexus of each band member’s individual virtuosity combined with musical sensibility – it keeps your feet moving and your brain grooving.

“[Open Sky] is the sheer Escaper way of breaking free of confinement and allowing our most true selves through. The idea… reflects the climb to self actualization.” – Will Hanza (Guitar, Vocals).

Though the current pandemic has certainly altered most peoples’routines, Escaper has managed to stay incredibly busy. The band has impressed listeners worldwide with their weekly Escaper At Home video series. Listeners can expect a plethora of fresh content prior to the album release on 6/19.
