Asheville-based progressive jazz funk fusion band STIG and Chicago-based jamtronic electro-funk band Chachuba kick off their 6-night run through the Southeast on February 15th at The One Stop in Asheville, North Carolina, followed by shows in Tucker, Georgia; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Knoxville, Tennessee; Athens, Georgia; and Franklin, North Carolina. For jam band make-you-dance, funk music lovers, catching this pairing at a stage near you is a must!

Genre-mingling funk fusion band STIG consists of 5 best friends from a myriad of places both geographically and musically, who studied together at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and have since been touring the country non-stop, catering their funk to the vibe and energy of the crowd. STIG writes music that engages the listener through exploratory and improvisational sound, and recently released their debut studio album Agreed Upon this past September. The album showcases “wild and wailing sax, metal riffs, futuristic soul jazz, and cheery musical excursion” – Bill Kopp, Mountain Xpress.

4-piece band electronic jammers Chachuba also dropped their new album this past September, Lost The Mountain, which encompasses all of Chachuba’s musical styles and capabilities, melodic guitar riffs, trance synths, and pulsating bass. They’ve also been in the studio over the past few months writing new music, which they’ll be taking on the road and rotating into upcoming winter shows!

The back-to-back sonic exploration and improvisation of these two bands will bring high-energy funk fusion music to cities throughout the Southeast. Check out the tour schedule:
