The Good Vibration Music Festival is coming up this weekend August 24-26, and is the perfect event to bring the whole family.  Appropriately named – this music festival is sure to be filled with good vibes and is backed by a feel-good cause, proceeds go to benefit the Crystal Tower Women and Children’s Shelter, an emergency transitional home for women and children in Sandusky, Ohio.

Coyote Grove

The festival itself takes place at Coyote Grove in Bellevue, Ohio, which is home to other small festivals including “Nocturnal Frequency,” “Food for Folks,” and “Elephest” coming up September 7-8.  It is a small venue filled with friendly people and a community fire, please be respectful of the rules including no dogs, no outside firewood (there will be some available there), and no laser pointers.  You can read more about Coyote Grove on their Facebook page.

Kaminanda

The musical lineup for Good Vibration Music Festival is led by headliner Kaminanda, who will be playing two sets.  Kaminanda is described as “tribal melodic dance music” with world influences, originating in 2006 in Victoria, BC. There are also many local favorites on the lineup including the bluegrass fusion tunes of Blue Moon Soup, “hippie metal” band Glostik Willy, and up-and-coming blues funk band Dynamo Love.  We are perhaps most excited about seeing jam and prog rock band Vibe & Direct during their last performance before their extended hiatus. More bands include Jahman Brahman, Dreadlock Dave, The Groove Trees, Echo Mecca, Great Grandpa Beebe, and many more.

Friday Schedule

In addition to the music, there will be workshops, art, vendors, and fire performers.  The ticket prices are very affordable being only $55 for a weekend pass, and only $95 for a “family pass” which includes 2 adults and 2 children.  Buy your tickets now and get down to Bellevue, Ohio to share in the good vibes!
