Yarn is an Alternative Country, Americana, Roots band from Brooklyn who approaches music by “spinning a yarn” — telling stories with their music. Their newest project is “Lucky 13,” which involves a series of “Virtual 45’s” inspired by vinyl records that will be released on the 13th of every month. These Virtual 45’s feature and A side and B side, with 1 track on each side, plus fun alternative versions of the tracks as well as special extras like acoustic solo tracks and collaborations.The songs are based off both real and fictional events that could happen whilst traveling on the road from city to city.
The band members consist of Blake Christiana, Rod Hohl, Rick Bugel, and Robert Bonhomme. They have landed on the Grammy ballot four times, praised by the Americana Music Association, placed top five on both Radio and Records and the AMA album charts, and also gained the “Download of the Day” from Rolling Stones. With an enthusiastic national fan base, Yarn is sure to excite music fans in DC with the news of their upcoming visit to the beautiful new venue City Winery. It is slated to be an evening filled with knee-stomping melodies, enchanting stories, and of course delicious wine and food!
The City Winery in DC offers a glorious mixture of wine, music, and food at their establishment. They allow an opportunity to gather with friends and family to enjoy a delicious assortment of food while relaxing in their calm atmosphere. The DC location of City Winery is brand new, featuring a barrel room, a restaurant, and a seated area to watch live music. There are eleven wines on tap to choose from and much of the food is prepared in front of the guests. Some of the delectable dishes available range from American Wagyu Hangar Steak, Braised Duck Tacos, the City Winery Burger and much more. There is also a selection of over 400 wines from most major winemaking regions in the world including Domaine Sigala, Santorini Assyrtiko Athiri ‘16 from Santorini, Greece, Loveblock ‘16 from Marlborough, New Zealand, and Villa Marcalla Prosecco from Treviso, Italy .
