If you are a John Kadlecik fan, then this is your chance to catch a couple of performances. Kadlecik will be playing several shows this week in the state of Florida, with performances in Jacksonville, Boca Raton, Tampa, and Gainesville.  If you aren’t familiar with John Kadlecik, he is a founding member of the Grateful Dead cover project Dark Star Orchestra, and surprises listeners with his ability to emulate the guitar playing and singing of Jerry Garcia.  Also, from 2009 until 2014, Kadlecik toured with Bob Weir and Phil Lesh as Further. In 2010 Kadlecik decided to start his own band, to showcase his original music alongside popular covers and classics.  If you find yourself in Florida this week, grab yourself a ticket and check out the music of John Kadlecik.

Melvin Seals

Melvin Seals, longtime member of the Jerry Garcia Band, will be playing a couple of shows in the area.  Seals joined the Jerry Garcia Band in 1980 and remained a member until Garcia’s unfortunate death.  Wanting to continue the legacy of Jerry Garcia’s music, he and the remaining band members continue to put on live performances showcasing Garcia’s and the rest of JGB’s music. Although the band’s line up has been constantly evolving throughout the years, the mission stays the same. Seals had done collaborations with many of our favorite musicians, such as John Kadlecik, as well as Phil Lesh and Friends and Oteil Burbridge.
