Sleepy Creek Presents is bringing us another family fun-filled festival this October 6-8, 2017!  The same company that brings you Sleepy Creek Spring Dig and Brokedown Floatdown is capping off the festival season with Sleepy Creek Harfest in Berkeley Springs, WV.  Bring your sweaters, your parade costumes, and your dancing shoes for 2 sets of Cabinet and much more!

I’m sure we’ll be able to catch you by the fire ring on these chilly nights.  This venue’s bonfire is conveniently located within view of the main stage where you can still see the music.  If you don’t have a babysitter, bring the kiddos along for some kid friendly workshops, playground, and a Saturday parade at 4PM.  If you can’t find a dogsitter the dog can come along with you, too, it’s only $10 at the gate for a pet fee (though it is strongly encouraged to leave the pets at home).

This year at Harfest, there will be no music on the stage on Thursday night, but for $10 you can come set up early and enjoy a Movie Under the Stars and acoustic jamsFriday music starts at 2:30PM and ends at 1AM, followed by a Bonfire Jam with The Plate ScrapersSaturday, Mateo Monk will ring in the day (as is tradition) at 1:30PM and music will continue again until another Plate Scrapers bonfire jam at 1AM.  Cabinet will be headlining with TWO sets Saturday night starting at 10PM.

Cabinet is a favorite of ours who has been taking the newgrass world by storm for years now, and you know that a Sleepy Creek presents event has been cleverly curated with artists of all bluegrass backgrounds that don’t disappoint.  Some bands you definitely won’t want to miss are Mountain Sprout, Grand Ole Ditch, Strung Like a Horse, and Rumpke Mountain Boys.

Besides the great music, don’t forget about the tie-day workshop at the pavilion at 11AM on Saturday, and the Hula Hoop Workshop at the Music Meadow at 2PM.

There will be plenty of vendors for shopping and food vendors to keep you fed, Bear Care medical with be there to help if you need anything for an injury or sickness.  Please do not bring anything to vend if you are not a registered vendor, and of course no sales of alcohol or drugs will be permitted!
