Hello, Readers! Welcome to April! It’s a new week, and that means a fresh home-brewed batch of this week’s hottest live concerts, music festivals, and other events. No plans? No problem! Here is what’s up this week.

Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio will be hitting the road in order to showcase his newest musical project, Ghosts of the Forest; a more intimate endeavor that was inspired the death of his childhood friend.  Taking the stage with Anastasio for the nine-show tour will be Phish drummer, Jon Fishman, Broadway star Celisse, and Trey Anasatio Band members Jennifer Hartswick, Tony Markellis and Roy Paczkowski.  The tour begins this Thursday at State Theater in Portland, Maine and will feature songs and compositions never heard by the public.   Tickets are selling out fast, however, there are still some seats available through third party sellers; although they will be more expensive than face value. Be a part of something special this week at State Theatre in Portland, ME (04/04), Metropolitan Opera House in Philadelphia, PA (04/05) and The Anthem in Washington, DC (04/06)

Lotus takes to the stage at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City for three nights in a row, with support from their friends JAW GEMS.  For those of you not familiar with Lotus, they are a veteran jam band, known for their electronic instrumental grooves, and heavily melodic jams.  A few weeks back the band release a new official for one of their songs titles Faceblind, off their most recent album, Frames Per Second. Check it out here.  JAW GEMS’ sound will act as a nice compliment to what Lotus has to offer; this opening act will feature instrumental songs that meld hip-hop beats, synth-pop melodies and chillwave textures.  Get your tickets quick!
