What’s up, readers? The Jamwich is back with another home-brewed list of this week’s tastiest concerts and other art and culture related events.  The sun is bright, the breezes are cool, and the world is calling you to enjoy yourself!  No plans this week? No problem!  Here’s what’s up this week.

Del yeah! DelFest is back for their 12th annual weekend of camping, hanging out, and having fun with an amazing line-up of bands, craft vendors, visual artists and much more.  Head on over to Allegany County Fairgrounds in Cumberland, MD this Thursday, the 23rd, through Sunday, the 26th, for a guaranteed good time. The three stages, with music going from as early as 10:30 am, to as late as 3:30 a.m., the kid’s zone, arts & crafts faire, rhythm and movement workshops, and food and beverage trucks will have you more than occupied throughout each day. Bands lined up to play are The Del McCoury Band, The Travelin’ McCourys, The String Cheese Incident, Trampled By Turtles, Tyler Childers, Railroad Earth, Sam Bush, Billy Strings, The Marcus King Band and more. Four-day general admission passes are currently on sale for $235, with three-day, two-day and single-day passes available as cheaper alternatives.  Camping is included in the ticket price; however, on-site parking will cost another $70 (off-site is available for $25).  To learn more and purchase your tickets today visit www.delfest.com.


Darkstar Jubilee is being held this weekend, at the lovely Legend Valley in Thornville, OH, a live-music venue on over 200 acres of land.  Legend Valley has hosted several legendary music festival is the past, such as All Good, Hookahville, The Werk Out, and Resonance, among others. Bands on this year’s schedule consist of Dark Star Orchestra, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, The Marcus King Band, Leftover Salmon, Billy Strings, Donna The Buffalo, plus several others. Weekend GA passes are going for $169, with camping and parking being included in the ticket price.  Discounted pricing available for kids. Rooster Walk 11 is this weekend at Pop’s Farm in Martinsville, VA.  The fun gets started this Thursday and lasts all weekend long until Sunday.  Hang out with awesome bands like Galactic, Shovels & Rope, The Marcus King Band, Billy Strings, Steep Canyon Rangers, Turkuaz, Big Something, Sierra Hull, Ghost Light and many more. Having fun all four days will only set you back $165, although you’ll also need to purchase parking pass for $60 if you plan on driving in.  Know that your money is going to a good place, however, with Rooster Walk Inc. having donated $30,000 to local charities in 2017, and over $175,000 since 2009.  Visit www.roosterwalk.com to learn more, purchase tickets, and peep the videos and pictures of previous festivals.

Also this weekend, Habatat Family and Lazy Ass Productions, in association with WrittenHour Productions and Soundbar, present: FUNKy Fest [v.19] A Family Campout, Music & Arts Festival, held this weekend at The Glades Festival Grounds in Gibbon Glade, PA. Hang out in the mornings for yoga, join a drum circle in the afternoon, learn something new at one of the several clinics being offered, and end the day with a nightly fire show. Bands taking the stage include Electric Love Machine, The Cause, Electric Orange Peel, Habatat, Brachtapus, G.S.P. and many more.  To learn more check out the event’s Facebook page.
