ROOTWIRE IS BACK! – and More Intentional than Ever!
This year has tremendous offerings in store from Ohio’s most beloved Transformational ARTS Festival. Rootwire returns more intentional than ever with a dynamic array of Workshops, Performances, Live Music and ART. A carefully crafted schedule for this year’s event aims to promote a Collective Experience of growth, healing, and joy for all attendees. Located in the beautiful rolling hills of southeastern Ohio, Rootwire will take place July 28th-31st at the amazing Poston Lake, just minutes outside of Athens.
Over the years, Rootwire’s focus has shifted and progressed from its emphasis on exposing up and coming musical acts (that have subsequently turned into some of the region’s more popular musical acts, including Papadosio, Dopapod, and The Werks) to developing a more versatile Transformational and Healing festival experience. In addition to the always-stellar lineup, Rootwire is offering more & more unique workshops, classes, and visual arts than ever before while pushing these elements onto an equal platform as the music. No longer are Performance Artists, Live Painters, or Workshop Presenters merely an afterthought like at most festivals. Our focus and production value in these areas blows other similar events out of the water!!
Two HUGE identical main stages, complete with Live Art and Performance Collaboration Platforms, will culminate throughout the weekend to produce a magnificently metamorphic experience for all. One of the most exciting elements of this year’s Rootwire is the thoughtful planning that allows for no overlapping music sets, workshops, or presentations, so that a Collective Mindset is present and there is no conflict in seeing or doing everything offered at the festival. With this intentional flow of events, Rootwire once again sets the bar exceptionally high for what a festival is and can be.
