Featuring 40+ electronic, indie, and hip-hop acts across three stages, Shaky Beats offers a beat lovin’, hip-hoppin’ groove nasty lineup for it’s inaugural year. Located conveniently in ATL’s Centennial Olympic Park on May 20-22, 2016 Shaky Beats opens up on Friday with the groovy timings and unique future sounds of the hip-hop/pop inspired Jai Wolf. Moving right along with Brooklyn based art-rock band YEASAYER who’ve updated their sound and on-stage presence, after an inspired recording process from a remote setting in upstate New York.

The headline act for Friday, Major Lazer, continues to be grammy-nominated producer Diplo’s outlet for Jamaican inspired dancehall music. With a fantastically cosmic backstory and a rounded off cast with fellow DJ/producers Jillionaire and Walshy Fire, MAJOR LAZER is set to bring their melodious groove and unifying dub to the Peachtree stage.

If you have to pick only one day to attend Shaky Beats, Saturday would almost assuredly be it. The Peachtree stage is stacked, top-to-bottom, with acts like Com Truise, STRFKR, Cherub (of “Doses and Mimosas” fame) and Porter Robinson (LIVE) expands on his self-proclaimed love for evocative melodies with a new & improved set-up with gripping, immersive production.

Saturday’s headliner, ODESZA, descends from the reaches of the Pacific Northwest through soaring, visceral melodies and addictive drums that yield to fathoms deep bass and inspire startling dreaminess. A must see for anyone inspired by the precocious maturity with which this duo approaches their artistic expressions.

Sunday at Shaky Beats is the de-facto hip-hop heavy hitter. After  a late afternoon set from ASAP FERG, Nas takes the Peachtree stage before Big Gigantic closes out the festival.

Be sure to check out the food trucks (ranging from Belgian style fries/Indian food) and the many other festivalian frills surrounding this event
