Soulshine Farm Music Festival 2016 Lineup Revealed!

Aug 11-13, 2016, Green Mountain, NC

Green Mountain’s gem of a music festival has officially announced their highly anticipated lineup this past Sunday.

Entering it’s 3rd official year, head of Operations Randi Glover stated their vision for the festival this year is to hire more local acts, less headliners, and really solidify the sense of community that arises from attending Soulshine.

Hailing from the glorious state of North Carolina, Acoustic Syndicate will be taking the stage to delight folks with their unique blend of rock and bluegrass. Mind melting maestros The Mantras, also from NC, are billed as well.

The festival promises to put the FUN in funk as Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band and The Fritz will be performing. Both bands cite Asheville as their hometown, a mere 40 minutes from Soulshine, and are guaranteed to put on a hometown throwdown.

Infectious Latin groove masters Sol Rhythms will get you spinning under the sun with their eclectic world music, as well as  Zansa, a 5 piece afro-pop fusion. Bringing the roots, rock, and reggae will be local favorite Dub Kartel.

Keeping the grateful message alive, Bill & Friends, will be making their debut on the Soulshine lineup. Their tunes ranges from acoustic to electric, psychedelic and soulful, and encompass many Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band songs.

Returning for their second year, Soulshine favorite the Screaming Js, will be keeping the boogie train going all night long (and way into the early morning).

Displace, Come Back Alice, Applebutter Express, Empire Strikes Brass, Nikki Talley, Ralph Rodenberry, Aaron “Woody” Wood, Savi Fernandez Band, Under The Willow, Kendra Warren, Dr Bacon, Kolkata, Ali Randolph & The Outta Luck Band, Sayln Roots Reggae, Ton of Hay, Pete McWhirter, Smokey Joe and the South Toe Syndicate, David Wiseman, Polly Lorien, Sugar Daddy, ClarifEye w/ John David Ariensen, 3 Little Birds, Ken Ramsay, Artist at Large Carl Schmid round out the soulsational lineup.
