What’s up readers! The Jamwich is back with our personally curated list of live shows, and other music/art/culture events throughout the week.  Allergy season might be here, but so are the cool evenings shared around campfires, weekends spent sleeping in tents, and all things outdoors related!  No plans? No problem! Here’s what’s up this week.

The 9th annual North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival will be held this weekend in Historic Rural Hill, North Carolina, featuring 11 awesome bands across two stages, including the Grammy Award winning band The Infamous Stringdusters.  The venue is perfect for music festivals, as it is set on 265 beautiful acres, with an extensive network of hiking trails to keep you occupied during any downtime throughout the weekend.  Other bands on-site will be Donna the Buffalo, Scythian, River Whyless, Dangermuffin, Cicada Rhythm and more. Weekend passes will set you back $50 and be prepared to fork over an extra $45 (per tent, not person) for camping (camping passes do include two passes to the Friday Night Jam as an extra inventive). Visit www.ncbrewsmusic.com to purchase your tickets today, and to find out more information.

The LEAF Festival returns to Lake Eden in Black Mountain, NC this Thursday, for its 48th consecutive year, and will run all the way through the weekend until Sunday.  Weekend passes are currently all sold out, however, there are still single day passes available for those who want in on the shenanigans.  Also, feel free to fill out a volunteer application as an alternative means of securing a weekend pass (but you must be willing to work).  LEAF is all about transforming lives, connecting cultures, and generating unity.  Expect to see performances from Shovels & Rope, Trevor Hall, Larkin Poe, Molly Tuttle, Jon Stickley Trio, Dirtwire, The War and Treaty, Black Violin, and many more talented artists as well.  If you’re interested in buying tickets, or would like to learn more about LEAF, head on over to the festivals official website.

Don’t miss out on this chance to see the up-and-coming jam band, TAUK, who more and more people seem to be mentioning with each passing day. The band is renowned for their eclectic sound, which they describe as a synthesis of progressive-rock, hip-hop, and jazz. They’ll start off the week with a show in Greenville, SC this Wednesday at The Firmament with special guest Kirby Bright Live Band, a jamtronica group that strives to bridge all musical gaps in order to create bring everyone together as a family.  Thursday night, TAUK links up with indie-groove band Goose, for a series of shows to close out the week.  Catch these two awesome bands at Woodlands Tavern in Columbus, OH on Thursday (05/09), Madison Theatre in Covington, KY on Friday (05/10), and at Rex Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday (05/11).

Don’t forget to continue scrolling down in order to see the entire list of shows and events for the week.  Let us know where you’ll be, and please feel free to leave your own suggestions in the comment section.  Until next week. Stay jammy.
