Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas, readers!! One of the most anticipated moments of the years is at last upon us, but how will you spend it?  Why not get together with some like-minded individuals at a live concert and create of blissful memories that will last a lifetime.  Just like many of us, our favorite artists and musicians are taking some time off from work in order to spend time with family and friends, however, this weekend is jam-packed with some of the best concerts and events of the year.  Here’s what’s up.

Join Bassnectar, Odesza, Big Gigantic, Griz, RL Grime, Ganja White Night, Illenium and many more this weekend at Pennsylvania Convention Center for HiJinx Festival. This two-day festival will be completely indoors, but still provides the classic festival experience.  Gates open each day at 5:00p.m. with music starting immediately afterwards.  Last set starts at 11:45, but there are plenty of afterparties out there if you’re looking to keep partying ‘til the morning comes.  Two-day general admission passes are currently in the third-tier pricing stage, which is $229.  No single day passes are available for sale.  In order to learn more, check out a festival map, peep set times, and purchase tickets, head over to the festival’s official website.

Oteil Burbridge and his band of friends are here for the latter half of the week to help wrap up Christmas and bring in the New Year.  Oteil joins the stage with Melvin Seals, Eric Krasno, John Kadlecik, Jay Lane, Jennifer Hartswick and Weedie Braiman this week at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY (12/27, 12/29), Tower Theatre (w/ Gov’t Mule) in Upper Darby, PA (12/28) and Brooklyn Bowl (12/30-31). Tickets are selling quick. Get them now, before they sell out!

The Werks will be bouncing around the area brining the jam and good vibes with them as they go.  Check them out this week at Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, NJ (12/27), The Cutting Room in New York, NY (12/28) and Union Stage in Washington, DC (12/29). Also, check them out for their New Years Eve Show with the jam-band powerhouse Twiddle at the House of Blues in Boston, MA.

Be sure to peruse the full list of concerts happening this week, which is just a bit further down.  As always, feel free to leave your own suggestions in the comment section. Stay warm, be safe, and remain grateful.  Until next week.
