Hello Readers! Temps continue to sink, but don’t let it affect your spirit.  Festival seasons might be over, but your favorite bands are back to tearing it up at the local venues.  Here is what’s up this week.

The Brooklyn-based funk powerhouse Turkuaz makes their way through the area this week, with support from their friends Butcher Brown.  Catch them this Wednesday at The Firmament in Greenville, SC, Thursday at Exit/In in Nashville, TN, and Friday at Madison Theatre in Covington, KY.  One of the iconic jam bands that helped start it all, moe., might be playing nearby you this week.  With performances in Cincinnati, OH at the Taft Theatre this Friday, and The Fillmore Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA this Saturday you surely won’t want to miss out.  Twiddle will be touring throughout the area this week, as well, starting with a show at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, NC this Wednesday.  After that you have chances to see them at The National in Richmond, VA this Thursday, and the 9:30 Club on Friday and Saturday.  Make sure to check out the full list of suggested concerts for more ideas on what to do.

Pack your bags and get ready for the one day, one night camping event Disc Jam Presents! Halloween Horror Camp IV, held at Camp Timber Trails in Tolland, MA.  Don’t let the falling temperature scare you away, there are both indoor and outdoor and performance areas, and plenty of rental cabins to keep you warm through the night.  Music will be provided by Octave Cat, Campa/Winderman Duo, West End Blend, Space Bacon, The New Motif and more.  General admission will set you back $75, and includes tent camping. Add another $50 if you want to park your RV.  Cabins sleep eight people and can be rented for $700 (no need to purchase the GA ticket if you reserve a cabin). Don’t forget to layer up!

Imbibe Craft Beer and Arts Festival, Virginia’s premier touring beer and music festival, makes a stop in Fredericksburg, VA at the Fredericksburg Fieldhouse this weekend. Imbibe is essentially a traveling music festival that has a game zone for adults, open air food market, artisan market, and much more. Even learn about craft beer and its history at some of the workshops, panels, demos and tastings at the BrewU Craft Beer Education Stage. Enjoy performances by North Mississippi All-Stars, People’s Blues of Richmond, and The Trongone Band.  Imbibe will hold the second installment of their festival the first Sunday of November in Virginia Beach, VA.  Don’t miss out on the good times!

Strange Mechanics and The Clock Reads are throwing down this weekend at the Salem Event Center in Philadelphia.  Join in on the shenanigans this Saturday night. Doors open at 9. Tickets are $16 in advance, $20 at the door. Ticket includes access to the open bar, as well as some free snacks.  Costume contest with prizes will be going on, so make sure to put some effort into those outfits!

Until next week. Jam safely!
