The party has already started and as you read this, and I’m sorry to inform you that you are already late.  The corporate bastards probably had you at work all day keeping you from the real American Dream – getting “blasted” at a party filled with music, a huge fireworks show, and more.  There’s no need to worry, though, the best part of this festival is still yet to come, so head down tonight or tomorrow for a gonzo time.  Festival in the Field is this weekend Aug 24-25, 2018, with an early arrival option for tonight.

Festival organizer Bryan Stence conveyed much of his biggest inspirations when crafting the event, including readings from Hunter S. Thompson tonight after a big pig roast and an afternoon of paintball, followed by a jam session. Friday night has music from bands like Flux Capacitor, Stronger Than Dirt, and Dire Wolves, then Saturday night will be the ultimate climax with a gigantic fireworks show, presented by Elevated Explosions and set to the music of Tom Petty as a tribute. Bryan owns Elevated Explosions and is well versed in the art of fireworks — so be expecting a stellar show. Saturday will also feature a full day of music from 5 bands including Willie Jack & The Northern Light and headliner Mysterytrain playing the late night stage.

Camping is included in the ticket price and you are allowed to come set up at 10AM tomorrow (unless you chose to do early arrival for $10 at the gate tonight).  You can also bring your pup and your kids, kids 12 and under are free so treat them to a fun weekend and a fireworks show. It’s a great way to blow some steam off for many who went back to school this past week.  Remember not to bring glass to protect barefoot feet.

Tickets are no longer available online so bring cash with you to the gate!  They are $65 for Friday arrival and $35 for Saturday arrival, this price includes parking.  Check out their Facebook event page for the full lineup, list of rules and more info.
