Leave your furry friends at home, print out your tickets, buckle yourself in and take a ride through the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains to make memories to last lifetimes. FloydFest 17 Freedom has invited Thievery Corporation, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Leftover Salmon, Big Something, Zach Deputy, Rising Appalachia, Xavier Rudd, T Sisters and many more to grace nine stages over this incredible five day event. While preparations for FloydFest is a year round job for Across-The-Way-Productions, patrons can rest easy knowing their every last need is taken care of while they are blissfully enjoying their favorite Rock, Bluegrass, Reggae, Folk, Cajun and Appalachian music.

If you’re a High-Roller All-Access VIP ticket holder, you can arrive as early as 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26th, to set up your new home behind FloydFest’s legendary Dreaming Creek Stage. If you have a 5-day GA ticket, you can start arriving as early as noon on Wednesday, July 26th, so you have time to find that perfect spot to call home for the weekend. FloydFest will have plenty of sounds and tastes to indulge you in, so leave those heavy bottles of liquor at home if you don’t want to have them confiscated at the gate. Instead, enjoy one of the many masterfully brewed beers, paired up with your favorite edible Things from food vendors such as one of my favorites, The Sugar Shack. High Rollers can enjoy the weekend with gourmet lunches and dinners served backstage as well as free beer pours throughout the weekend.

The Healing Arts Village is hosting Yoga, Dance, and incredible music like Rising Appalachia to get you up and going after a night of adventures. Keeping your kids entertained is a breeze with a Children’s Universe specifically envisioned to enhance and exercise their creative freedoms. Kids can bring their musical instruments and creative costumes as well as any other inspirations to enjoy The Peace Parade, face-painting, hooping, yoga, Free Art and so much more to help their creativity come to life.

Floydfest is a very special place where life changing moments occur and the best band you’ll see all weekend will be the one you’ve never heard of before. A perfect example of FloydFest’s spontaneous magic appeared last year culminating in the inception of what is now termed the Buffalo Jam. After Gregg Allman was forced to cancel due to illness, other scheduled performers on site stepped up to put together an impromptu set which became the musical highlight of the festival. You will be able to experience the Buffalo Jam again this year featuring: Leftover Salmon, Railroad Earth, Keller Williams, Larry Keel, Shook Twins and many more 10pm Saturday at the Dreaming Creek stage.

FloydFest is in its 16th year so you can expect nothing less than an experienced, organized production and all around smooth weekend full of music, local arts & crafts, dance workshops, morning yoga lessons, storytelling, poetry readings and a Children’s Universe. The magic of FloydFest is brought to life by the fans just as much as the artists.
