Larry Keel brings his incomparable show The Larry Keel Experience to the Opera House Live in Shepherdstown, WV on Saturday March 18th, 2017, following an exhilarating 2016 tour year.

In 2016 the award-winning acoustic guitarist released his 15th album “Experienced”, and saw it climb to top 10 on the Americana Radio Chart and receive praise and accolades from reviewers, fans, DJ’s and retailers around the country. The album is all original material, delivering inspired performances on guitar, banjo and vocals by Keel’s unit, The Larry Keel Experience. Added to the raw sophistication of Keel’s progressive, acoustic-rock style are several guest-musician-friends who appear on various tracks of ‘Experienced”, a list of icons and new stars in the Americana and Jam/Rock world:  Sam Bush, Del McCoury, Peter Rowan, Keller Williams, Jason Carter (Del McCoury Band), Mike Guggino (Steep Canyon Rangers/Steve Martin) and Anders Beck (Greensky Bluegrass).

“Larry has been elevated to icon status with those who appreciate good, solid, hand-crafted music” – Allmusic.com

Chance McCoy of Old Crow Medicine Show says: “Larry Keel is one of my favorite artists.  He captures something magical in his songs, and on his record ‘Experienced’ he captures that magic on tape.  A record has to sound good but it still needs grit…warmth…realness, and that’s exactly why this record is aces.  The vision is here, the songs are here, the playing is here…”

Oliver Wood of The Wood Brothers says:  “Larry’s record is beautiful – I love how the rawness of his voice (and playing) really lets the soul shine through the arrangements.  I’ve always liked how he can go from sweet and sentimental to dirty and greasy, and back. Especially liked the song ‘Memories.’”

Now Keel is entering his most successful year yet: song-writing with Grammy-winning composers, exciting collaborations with top artists from a variety of musical genres, and appearances at some of the world’s most illustrious venues and festival events including Carnegie Hall in New York City and Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado.
