Envision Gathers World-Renowned Roster of Instructors for 2016’s Yoga and Movement Workshop Lineup
Envision Festival – Costa Rica – Uvita, CR – In a lush jungle surrounded by miles of secluded beach near the bohemian surf town of Dominical, Envision Festival – Costa Rica is working to expand a new world of sacred movement, growth, focused practice, and the pursuit for personal discovery alongside an expertly curated music festival. As a gathering dedicated to awakening the mind, body and spirit, Envision Festival is proud to unveil the full yoga and workshop lineup for the sixth annual edition of Envision, taking place on the shores of Uvita, Costa Rica, February 25 – 28, 2016.
Having already announced the musical lineup, which includes headliners Shpongle, Beats Antique Live, M.A.N.D.Y.,Elephant Revival, and St. Croix roots legend Midnite (under their current touring name Akae Beka), and over 50 more musicians, Envision aims to deepen the connection between oneself, nature and the surrounding community through an incredible ensemble of some of the globes most influential and inspirational teachers. Descending upon Envision Festival 2016 is world-class yoga instruction led by Founder of Mythic Yoga Flow, internationally celebrated yoga teacher, and evocative storyteller Sianna Sherman, Swedish native, New York Times best-selling author, motivational speaker, founder of 109world.com, and international yogi Rachel Brathen, transformational movement facilitator and champion of the 5Rhythms meditation practice Amber Ryan, Founder of OM Yoga and proponent of fusing creative athleticism with classical yoga practice Marcos Jassan, and One Yoga Master credited with bringing the movement to Trinidad and Tobago, Troy Hadeed.
Also leading practices throughout the course of the festival isco-founder of The Avahana School of Yoga and Expressive Healing Arts and former Adidas Global Yoga Trainers, Ashleigh Sergeant, director of the Yoga Mandir and President of the Costa Rican Yoga Association Edgar Ortiz, Costa Rican native, certified Holistic Body Therapist and Reiki Master Juan Pablo Barahona, creator of Krama Vinyasa Esteban Salazaar, creator of Vinyasa of the Hoop & Circle Sadhana, and a pioneer in the global Hoopdance movement Michelle Nayeli Bouvier, Founder of the Meta Method connecting the dance of life with the four natural elements Elana Meta, certified hoop instructor and alignment yoga specialist Sitara Bird, and fourth generation Subud, original co-founder of Envision Festival, certified dance therapist, performance artist and practitioner of Expressive Healing Arts Sofiah Thom alongside many others!
One of the biggest additions to the Envision grounds in 2016 is the new Yoga Village which includes two movement zones for revelers searching to discover wellness, serenity, consciousness, nature, and mindfulness through sacred movement and yoga practice. Designed and engineered by sustainable building team Living Space Costa Rica, these semi-permanent yoga and movement temples also include a juice bar, chill-out lounge and space allocated to those seeking a substance-free campground.
Building on the ethos of the festival itself, Envision has extended its reach outside the festival grounds in 2016 by embarking on a series of six specialized Educational Retreats – intimate events leading up to and directly following the festival itself with some of the Envision’s featured teachers such as David Wolfe, 7Song, Troy Hadeed, Kaypacha, and Stephen Brooks. These retreats are part of a new branch of Envision Productions focused on bringing the transformational qualities of the festival into everyday routine and include a pre-festival tour through Costa Rica. One of the featured retreats, Embody, encompasses an in depth immersion into the overlap of dance, yoga, somatic intelligence, self-care, nature’s patterns, living rhythm, and intimacy with life-energy flow and takes place February 19th – 24th in Uvita, just ahead of Envision.
