CONCERT TO BENEFIT WEST VIRGINIA CHEMICAL SPILL VICTIMS TO TAKE PLACE THIS FRIDAY
AT LONGSHOTS IN CHARLES TOWN.

6 of the most popular regional bands and musicians to take part in this special musical showcase.
With a good portion of Southern West Virginia residents still without safe clean drinking water, Front Porch Live
has come together with Longshots Billiards and some of the best regional musicians to put together this one night
musical benefit with 100% of the proceeds to be donated to organizations on the front lines aiding those most in
need of clean water and supplies. The event is to take place on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Longshots Billiards in
Charles Town, WV. The music will start at 8 and go all night until 3 am with a total of 6 musical acts performing
live. The suggested donation is $10 at the door and the venue will also accept water and supplies all week until the
close of business on Friday.

“Even with the government declaring some water safe to consume, we have read countless news stories and heard
firsthand accounts from many residents of central and southern West Virginia who have had negative reactions to
consuming and even breathing the fumes that come from the water. With the story slowly losing traction in the
national media, now more than ever these people, particularly in the rural areas affected, need our help to provide
clean water and supplies” said Joshua Vance, founder of Front Porch Live, the local music event promoter
coordinating the event. “We’ve done quite a few fundraisers/benefits and I’m always humbled by support from the
community” said Matte Hancock, Owner of Longshots Billiards.

Musical acts performing at the event are; Unfinished Business, The Woo Yeahs, Noetic Pull, Secondhand Reggae
Band, The Braes and Aarodynamics. There will also be a raffle with many local merchants providing prizes, in
which 100% of the funds collected will go towards supplies and water for WV residents in need. “304 to the Core,
being a local band for 9 years, we are all about helping the community said Becca Crawford, singer for Unfinished
Business.
